PSA: Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Think about the principle involved. A dysfunctional clock, totally ignorant of the outside world, manages to "get it right" just by coincidence, on a regular basis.

Anyone who can't "get it right" with comparable frequency is doing something badly wrong, possibly by incompetence, possibly by malicious intent, possibly both.

And if Grover Norquist says something true, it is ONLY ONLY ONLY because he is up to something, and stating a truth serves his larger, wholly dishonest (nay, evil) purpose.

1. Amen, amen, amen. the evil little scumsucker has got to be dancing in his
evil little College Republican shoes over what he's managed to accomplish with the ignorant on the left the past few days.

Pardon me while I vomit.

2. What did he say that was true? Is there any proof of wrongdoing?
Edited on Sat Dec-26-09 10:54 AM by TwilightGardener
No, but they're starting with the assumption that Rahm MUST have done something criminal--make him prove he didn't. Bigger picture, what's really happening is that the Republican party, aided by Jane, wants to henpeck the Obama administration with investigations, for the sake of investigations, because that's the way to create a cloud of impropriety and wrongdoing over the WH. They'll call for other investigations, too--one after another--to attempt to hobble the administration. That's the way it worked with Clinton, that's the way it will work now. Except now we've got leftbaggers as willing idiots.

3. Well, that's *ALSO* a good point. :^)
In case anyone misunderstands me, I said ***if*** ... only meant to imply the conceptual possibility, not an actual documented instance of Norquist telling the truth.

Pretty sure his tongue would explode in flames, but I guess that belongs in the Religion/Theology forum.

6. They did look into it. There was nothing there. But let's keep looking into it anyway.
Because even if we don't find anything, we just don't like the guy, and Obama deserves to have his administration under a cloud of suspicion. That's what it's all about.

9. So, you will be providing some informations on these 3 investigations, I'm sure
Because I'm searching and I don't find anything. I would be happy to see something on it. And this article about removing the $400 billion cap on money for Freddie and Fannie was suspicious in light of the story about Jane Hamsher and Grover Norquist's letter. Especially since they raised questions about the rush to do this before year's end to avoid the need for Congressional approval.

10. They keep bringing up these investigations that happened in 2003
Jane references those same investigation in her letter to Holder. You have to wonder who is behind trying to silence Hamsher.
