"A U.S. House Democrat who opposes the health care overhaul announced Tuesday he is defecting to the GOP, another blow to Democrats ahead of the midterm elections....

Turnham said Griffith should return money to Democratic donors — something the congressman said he would be happy to do."

We're better off with DINOs being in the Repuke party, so I'm glad to see him go, he apparently didn't vote Democratic on issues. Nothing will get back the time and effort people donated to him, but apparently they can get their money back. I hope the state Democratic party uses whatever donors list the Feds keep to send out letters telling the donors that.

(Why the heck is this a "blow" to Democrats when he voted like a little Repuke all along?)

1. It's a blow because even if he voted with them, he made up part of a Democratic Majority
We aren't going to lose our majority over one guy, but it's a step in the wrong direction.

That's assuming you see a Democratic Majority as a good thing.

2. What state are you in?
I notice that info has been disappearing from User profiles lately at a rapid pace.

Lets see what kind of representatives you have.

4. I hardly consider losing this prick to be a blow and wouldn't mind if a couple of others defected.
