As much "praise" is directed at the Senate for working so "late" keep coming, it makes me want to puke. Oh, these poor, poor babies. Burning the midnight oil like so many working Americans must do every single day.

But to these people it's like the next coming of the Lord or some shit.

I'm sorry you poor, poor people have to lay off your boozing and steak dinners and put in some OT.....

1. It has to do with the 30 hours required after amendment submitted before vote is allowed.

4. I understand that, but what I'm getting at...
Is these blowhards living the life of Reilly make it sound like it is so, so difficult to do what many Americans do every single day.

So what they have to stay up past midnight. Big deal. Hell, most of them were probably catnapping in their offices sleeping off their dinners of prime rib and booze.

8. Hear, hear
I spent 20 years of working 12-16 hour shifts, often 7 days a week, and worked more holidays than not. And I didn't make the cushy salaries with perks that they get either. The lowest paid among them probably makes more than I did in my best year.

Sorry, I don't have an ounce of pity for them. :nopity:

9. As things get worse economically, this type of grandstanding is a political loser for Dems
I am sure that many tens of millions of Americans that have to work nearly round the clock and through Christmas and Christmas Eve simply to keep alive could give a shit about Senators having to work a few extra hours.

10. perhaps

we could offer them early retirement; especially Lieberman ,collins and snowe!
these three all have one thing in common; believe not what I say : because so often I am doing the opposite of what I say!
none of these 3 will vote against the insurance companies!
