Christmas card from the Obama's

came in the mail today, addressed to me. I have to admit I felt a little special till it dawned on me, they (Whitehouse staff) probably mailed literally millions of these things.

I am but a number, a number who spent countless hours on the phones, canvassing neighborhoods, participating in voter registration drives, standing on a street corner with Vote for Change signs in a predominately republican town, etc and all of this after working my full time job...all in the name of Hope and Change. I ante'd up my time, my money, a few acquaintances a couple of friends, I went all in for a man who I had so much faith in to make this country a place I could be proud of again.

Instead of bringing our troops home, he sends more away.

Instead of reforming health care, he allowed it to become contaminated by religion and greed to the point it has morphed into something unrecognizable.

Instead of being a strong leader he tripped at the starting bell by attempting to be bipartisan, it was like he was apologetic that democrats had control, so he was throwing the republicans a bone... WTF, they never threw us a bone, or a even a scrap, hell they waved the scraps in our face and yanked them back while laughing.

But hell, I haven't folded yet, I still am holding on, not sure if I'm being stubborn or hopeful... I did proudly display my christmas card from the Obamas, I put it right next to my bible toting right wing neighbor's card, a little passive aggressive move on my part, but what the hell, it makes me smile.
