Would you sooner go to jail than pay a private health denial company?
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 08:54 AM by Shagbark Hickory
This is what Keith Olbermann proposes.
If the government is offering private for profit health insurance for free, I'll take it but I refuse to pay my own money for it. Would I sooner go to jail? No but it'll probably uproot my whole live as I intend to emigrate to another country if this happens. Especially if there are fines.
It's a matter of principle and I'm putting my money where my mouth is.

How about you?

3. no, I wouldn't. I have good insurance through the state
I pay 90 bucks a month for it. I don't imagine anything will change.

Here's what I have:

4. I willingly pay for all types of insurance.
Insurance is a racket, but when I needed to have surgery, I was sure glad I had it. When a large tree fell on my house, glad I had homeowner's. I wouldn't feel truly secure without it.

6. I will
Let them show their true faces. By locking up productive people like myself who refuse to bow to fascism, they will lose far more money than they will make. Losing the tax revenue from my economic activity, being forced to pay to imprison me, in between answering every appeal that is possible to make, only finally to pay for the very health care that they jailed me for, anyway... this fascist state won't hold together long enough for me to be in there very long.

8. Health Denial Company
I like that--it's quite accurate.

Sadly, I doubt I will be able to pay off the health denial company, even if I wanted to.

Kill the bill.

Forcing people to buy insurance is no more the answer to a failed health care system than forcing people to buy houses is the solution to homelessness.

9. No currently you won't go to jail.
But the insurance companies lobbied for much more severe penalties and they will get them once repubs are back in charge. What's the difference between jail and permanent servitude under the ins. cartel.
