I was hoping to send some comments their way about that trainwreck last night:)

C'mon, DUers..push those buttons,..let's call in on Washington Journal & let them know how much it STANK!!!

1. Well, it ain't CSPAN's fault--even though Steve Scully had the gavel, that was just coincidence

It's the association itself, the WHC, that put the shindig on. CSPAN just covered it. As they do.

It did stink, though. The Letterman video was the highlight of the evening.

But hell, Rich Little is an old man. An inoffensive, old man. Back in the days of the Flip Wilson Show, and the Smothers Brothers, and Laugh In, he was considered fairly "cutting edge." At least for TV of the era...but hey, he's old now. I had to notice that there were more than a few Barbie Dolls in the audience with completely clueless expressions--I ascribe that to not knowing history, but who knows, it could have been botox overdoses...

2. I thought I was in the Way-Back machine

as I flipped past it-Rich Little doing RICHARD NIXON??? I thought it was a Laugh-In re-run from 1968

is how the press is STILL-to this DAY still playing footsy with a group of thugs who don't deserve the civility given them...thank God for the Blogs and DU-it's been what,6 years now we've been here SCD? Because I remember your screename from when i joined under my first name Oustemnow
