There Is Only One

I've been saying this for several years now on DU, with a brief respite when the 2008 election was underway, and my hopes were high. And while hope is usually a good thing, hope does not necessarily equate with ongoing reality.

And the REALITY here, today, is pretty sad.

There is but ONE party in America today.

Money.

Money/wealth is the ONLY political party that exists in America. it is the oldest party, to be sure, but it is now the ONLY one.

Money is POWER. It is power that is unaccounted for in the Constitution.

The 2008 election represented MORE MONEY IN POLITICS than ever before. And it was all just for show.

No one got elected in 2008 - they were all SELECTED by dollar bills.

It was still sad for me to see Democrats choose a person with a very short record of achievement over an experienced candidate in the primaries in 2008

3. Why not? If it turned

out that the chosen candidate was not what was promised to us, isn't it reasonable to discuss it so that the same thing will not happen in the future? We are lucky it is only THAT bad.

2.) it will get deleted anyway since primary rehash stuff usually is as it is divisive.
