Health Insurance is a Ponzi Scheme. It will bankrupt the country.
I was for a robust public option because I knew that it was the first step to single-payer. The Senate bill, if it is what gets signed into law will ensure failure of the health care apparatus in this country. It will implode, just like Bernie Madoff's scheme imploded. The insurers are paying claims from premiums without having back up funds.

And, when it implodes, who will take the hit? Republicans? Riiigggghhhhhhhtttttttt.

Democrats will take the blame, and the hit.

Without, at least, a strong public option, it's only a matter of time before the whole house comes crashing down. And, it will land on our heads.

We had better get it right the first time. There won't be a second chance.

1. No, health insurance is a mob protection racket.
As simple as that.

5. Something else to contemplate.
If this bill passes without Medicare expansion or a Public Option, but with the mandates intact. We will have just enriched the health insurance companies by billions every year, even if their margins are the same or slightly decrease.

And what will they DO with their increased profits...

Well, instead of spending $300M to defeat HCR like this year, they might well spend $1B or more in the future.

Instead of just buying a handful of democrats and almost every republican on the hill, maybe they will simply buy them all.

It's one of the most profitable investments they can make, as they just proved.
