2. It's probably due to the whole "Red State" meme

which was simply based on the colors network television assigned to the states each party carried in the 2000 election on their results map.

Never thought it really made sense that those who want corporations to run the world and unions to be gutted would wear a color symbolizing the blood of martyred working-class revolutionaries.

I do.

I'm not a Freeper or a Communist or anything like it.

I just like wearing red, and I do notice that lots of other people wear the color this time of year too.

What characterizes these people, other than their stupidity, is their anger. Fox News is their channel because it continually stokes their anger with all the yelling and screaming.
