Iraq in two photos

A U.S. soldier stands guard near an army Humvee leaking a pool of diesel fuel and blood at the scene of a grenade attack in Iraqi capital Baghdad on July 28, 2003. A grenade attack in downtown Baghdad Monday wounded and may have killed two U.S. soldiers in broad daylight, the latest in an increasingly bold and deadly guerrilla campaign. (Oleg Popov/Reuters)

5. We can't win a war by dying. Someone tell McCain that for me.
While he thinks of the next verse to his unfunny song about Iran.

6. Isn't he a pathetic guy?
It's always sad when people don;t realize that their time is past..
he should have served out his senate term and retired.. He has young kids, and certainly does not need the money.. Instead he became a sycophant suck-up to Bush and lost any shred of dignity he still had.. THAT's why his campaign is waning..

7. I think he has gone senile, to be honest with you about it.

He used to make sense once in awhile.
Nowadays, every time he opens his mouth, something stupid falls out of it.

When McCain said it was safe to walk the streets of Baghdad on April 1st, I knew he was lying about it.
But, what McCain didn't count on was that some of the media were actually reporting what the conditions were on the ground to accommodate McCain for his shopping trip.
Learning that over 100 soldiers were in his entourage was surprising, but when I found out that 2 Blackhawk helicopters and 2 Apache gunships were also hovering over the same market, that shocked me.

It's a form of abuse of those troops.

Those men and women had more important things to do that day rather than act as personal bodyguards for McCain so he could take some photo ops at the Baghdad market.
It really pissed me off when he did that.
