Freeper Studies: New Manifesto
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2405876/posts

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.
-

So there you have it, Jim Robinson's most telling line in his most recently posted manifesto. All candidates must now reject science in order to win freeper approval. That pretty much eliminates all but Sarah Palin.
Other points were also made, but this one drew no objection from the faithful. Of more concern was the splitting of hairs over whether they were fundamentalists or just God-fearing Christians. The complete dismissal of science was approved by all.

Is discussing freepers a waste of time here on DU? Are they the same as teabaggers? Personally, I am very concerned about their movement and how the mainstream media gives it their tacit approval rather than total condemnation. As someone said, all it takes to let evil prosper is to do nothing.

3. Science is why we have vaccinations
and safe roads and modern conveniences and . . . .

And the freepers reject Science.

They never fail to make my brain hurt.

11. No, we have all those things because of entrepreneurs and capitalists!
Oh wait, stuff needs to be invented and discovered and researched before you can sell it... I always forget that.

Carry on.

4. It's a personality cult there. DU is decentralized and doesn't have such prominent leaders.
Even when Skinner speaks, it's not automatically front-page news.

7. Nothing new here.
Their willful ignorance already informs everything they think, say, and do.

Only if they come out with a idea formulated after the 13th Century would I be interested.

8. Not gonna happen so long as they shun a true message board format.
I recall reading there once that traditional layouts like those found on DU, O'Reilly's, or Hannity's boards are marxist and don't allow unified opinions.

hate, fear and prejudice? Greed maybe?

Tis a sad commentary on a thought process there.

Peace and remember the wars are based on lies.
