I've met SO many wonderful DUers across the country.
Sad to hear you've had no luck in herding the Bay Cats.
Perhaps you should ask Kestrel for advice!
She is after all the "Kitty Fixer" for 3 decades here in
our neck of the woods.
She helped me when I suddenly found myself with 3 rescue kitties.
She is wonderful and I hope she can come- I've only had phone time
with her, and would love to meet her in person!

5. I would be interested

I live in San Diego, and have taken the Amtrak train to come to past DU meetups in Long Beach and in Anaheim.

It has now been a couple of years; in fact the DU meetup in Anaheim was two years ago right before Christmas. I would love the opportunity to come to another SoCal DU meetup and see both DU members that I have met before and those that I have not met before.

BHN I remember you sent me a PM a number of years ago, on the old DU board, but I don't think I have met you. I have met California Peggy a couple of times.

The San Fernando Valley is apparently the car theft capital of the US. Sadly, the thieves appear to have lowered their standards. My WTF moment lasted two weeks. Now I just laugh about it.
