One way to change the laws is to vote out those that are caving into the big corps. Maybe that's everyone on some level. OR, think about hurting the buyers(corps) of the laws being passed. Find out how many times you consume something from one of those buyers a day, and choose an alternative company. Shirk those Big Bastards so they won't have the money to buy out your congress critters! Also, next time you have any little ache or cough, bypass going to the doc, and educate yourself on your own body. You can be your own doctor, for minor crap. That saves you a bit of money just for the visit! Squeeze the corps, so they won't spend all their money on lobbying! There is a way out of our current madness in little non-violent ways. I'm sure there are other ways.

Sometimes it only takes one thread or one poster to initiate...

What happened to DU!

Where did all the trolls come from!

The sky is falling!

It's a ongoing cycle that isn't totally random. I'm sure some undergraduate somewhere is doing a paper on the long-term addictions to discussion boards and the cyclic patterns of those topics of discussion.

9. They are all in the pocket of big corporations..
You can't vote them out, or have you not figured that out yet? Does the name Obama mean anything? New guy, got in, learned real fast he doesn't really have control over anything.

The only way to stop this is campaign and lobbying reform. Until ALL the corporate money is out of politics we are screwed.

There is no way that we can keep up with the corporations. When the decision for them is "do I give this money to a politician and go with the brass fixtures on my yacht or do I keep it and go with the gold fixtures" and ours is, "do I feed my kids this week or make a political donation".
