In Alaska many food stamp recipients are Alaska Natives out in the Bush, particularly in Western Alaska, who have been suffering from depleted salmon runs and other subsistence issues. However, the fastest-growing segment of food stamp recipients here are in the cities. Here's an article from yesterday.

I scanned through it and the numbers are staggering. The % increases many places are enormous. We need jobs badly.
