4. So would a Cheney trial for crimes against humanity
In fact, I'd be willing to say that the trial would be even better for the country than any further political forays by the Cheney clan.

5. I agree. He should run. A President Cheney, however, would be bad for the country. (nt)

9. Thing is right now he's most likely the front-runner for the gop nomination.
Does anyone have the guts to make him stand trial for war crimes? My money's on no.

11. Sickening
Just plain sickening. Cheering a war criminal...and Meacham probably sees himself as a decent person. Which he so obviously isn't...

18. It'd be political ipecac
We'd get all the ugly out once and for all, and we'd probably be much better for it.

(Assuming he has a snowball's chance in hell. If he actually won, god help us.)

19. You know, I think I'll just pass on a Cheney-for-2012 effort.
It's hard to put my finger on it, but I just don't feel drawn to the guy.

Edited on Tue Dec-01-09 12:18 AM by NYC Liberal
Deadeye Dick's approval was in the low teens last time I looked.

If Cheney was the GOP nominee, he would unite the country more than anyone in a long time...against him. Can you say "50 State Sweep" in 2012 for Obama? How about "Electoral Vote: Obama, 538 Cheney 0"?

Better yet, maybe he can pick Newt Gingrich for his VP and bump Obama's popular vote up to 70%.

Ok, slightly exaggerating here but you get the picture! We should SUPPORT Cheney's run!
