Help Save Leslie Park's home. Fight IndyMac/OneWEst bank
Nov.30th
Thanks for all your calls to IndyMac/OneWest-- we are seeing some incredible progress! Here's late-breaking news in the ever-changing struggle to save Leslie Parks’ home:

1. IndyMac/OneWest sent Leslie a letter on Nov. 23rd, then initiated phone contact with her on Tuesday the 24th. This is after months of not being able to talk with bank reps.

2. On Wednesday, Nov. 25th, IndyMac/OneWest started the process of rescinding the sheriff's sale! This means that eviction proceedings, which could have started the 30th, will not happen. This is a fantastic development.

3. Instead, on Nov. 30th Leslie Parks and her advocates have scheduled an initial phone conference with IndyMac, confirmed in writing. We will hold out for nothing less than the Parks family getting the home back at terms they can afford.

"God is good!” Leslie exclaimed! We are proud of her courageous stand, steadfast resolve, and of what we have achieved so far, but we will keep up the pressure as needed.

So let's gather at Leslie’s during the morning rush hour of Monday, Nov. 30 at Park Ave. & 38th St. between 7:30 am and 8:30 am. We will spread out between there and Portland Ave. Join us in celebrating this breakthrough and get more details on the case! (I just came back from there, and there was about 20 of us with signs and passing out flyers to call INDYMAC.

***** Please help us keep the pressure on. and Call IndyMac Today.

Save Leslie Parks’ home!
CALL IndyMac/One West - the company trying to steal another home from our community.

1. Steven Mnuchin - One West Bank chairman of the board of directors: 212-301-8400

2. IndyMac/One West: 800-669-2300
3 (directory), then zero for operator, who refers you to “Corporate Customer Experience.” Leave a message, which “will be returned in 24 hours.” Direct this message to CEO Terry Laughlin.

Explain you are calling about the Parks property on 3749 Park Ave in Minneapolis, MN. You want them to negotiate in good faith and make the point that they are reaping a corrupt “benefit” from the fraudulent practice of a mortgage broker that sold Tecora Parks on an ARM on behalf of IndyMac. They are making money off of a swindle. We are sick of banks wrecking our communities.

IndyMac thinks it can make big bucks trying to steal this home, but it won't, because Leslie Parks has no intention of giving up.

IndyMac/OneWest is in Pasadena, CA

***
Background - Leslie Parks lives in south Minneapolis. Her family has owned the building for nearly 20 years.

Because of needing to pay for city-ordered repairs, Tecora Parks, Leslie’s mother, was swindled into getting an ARM (adjustable rate mortgage). The man from Allied Mortgage who sold her the ARM lied and insisted it was a conventional loan. It is important to note that Tecora Parks had perfect credit and qualified for a conventional loan hands down. But she was lied to, got swindled into an ARM, and after months of trying to keep up, both Tecora and Leslie lost their good credit and went into foreclosure.

The FDIC stepped in to bail out the IndyMac investors and gifted the bank to OneWest. In this time of economic crisis, we need to make it clear that it’s time that the people get some help.

2. And after that
everyone should call and hassle Citibank Mortgage. They are hassling me. I bet a lot of people on this board are in the process of having their homes foreclosed.

3. It might work for some to walk away
but some want to fight. Some have a more emotional attachment to their home. Some have lived in their homes a long time. or maybe they or their parents built the home they are in.

If more people refused to leave and fight, I do think it would force banks to come to the table and negotiate in good faith. But it takes more people to do this.

the Coalition to stop foreclosures has had several seminars to fight your foreclose but only 2-3 people show up at a time. It is too bad. A lot more homes/mortgages could be saved.

Andy I do think it ok to walk away and agree with alot in that article.
