Under Florida law Woods is not obliged to give a statement.
"Authorities have already said alcohol was not a factor in the crash."

http://www.alternet.org/rss/breaking_news/98957/woods%27_mea_culpa_gives_little_explanation_of_crash/

"As to why he was leaving his house at 2:25 am in the morning." That is his business.

Again, the corporate media tries to distract us by blowing a story up.

1. I agree, leave him alone!
There must be someone else they can be looking to interview that may have committed a real crime.

5. it just makes one wonder
if all is innocent why make up such a ludicrous story? i have a really hard time believing his wife broke out the back window, crawled into the car over alot of broken glass, got him out of the drivers seat, then dragged him out the back window. i assume she has numerous cuts on her hands, arms and legs.

why we should care is if this was a domestic violence incident and it is being covered up then someone may end up hurt a heck of a lot worse in the near future.

4. You sound like are hoping this will not be the last bad act
And why are you so concerned with "this marriage" (as you put it) not "his marriage"? Are you concerned with his marriage because he is married to a white women?

if this is a coverup of domestic violence then it likely WONT be the last time. race has nothing to do with anything here.

7. It's not "his" marriage, it's "their" marriage, there are two people involved.
You revealed your own bias with your comment.

We are all biased, not saying I'm not, but don't call out someone else about a bias that may not even exist while revealing your own.

11. Ah...More Of Today's Bright Shiny Toy...
It's as though the corporate media has a right to pry into any private life it wants and when the answers aren't fast enough or to their satisfaction, out come the speculation game. They are sure to bring on "experts" and acquaintances and use "unnamed sources" to kick this ball around for a while.

Seems like they're spinning the plates faster and faster these days...each week at least one if not several bright shiny toys. Last week it was the Palinpalooza tour then the White House scammers and now we're onto Tiger...by the end of the week there'll surely be some other distraction to feed the media mill. It amplifies the fact our "news" is now strictly infotainment.

15. Well M$Greedia needs a celebrity story
and they have no plan of letting up. They are manufacturing the newsworthy aspect of this one - no surprise. We should call them M$BS.

18. Citizen Woods owes no one any obligation here
Save his wife, children and his insurance company. Professional Golfer Woods, the man who has made in the neighborhood of half a billion dollars trading in his image over the past 15 years however, might want to consider a bit more public humility. See, it works both ways, you can't make your living off fame when things are good (and to a certain extent, he makes his living off fame, not just golf) and then not feed the beast when its hungry.
