I'm going to negotiate with the state of Ohio
I'm a trucker and I live in Dayton, Ohio. I've got a pretty good job and a decent place to live, but I think by choosing to live in this state that my personal business should be worth a lot more to the state of Ohio. After all, people are out of work, the tax revenue isn't coming in like we need it to, and we need hard working people like me to stay in Ohio so that Ohio may remain competitive with other states.

Let me tell you, folks, Nevada is looking pretty good right now. Las Vegas is booming and they are going to need a lot of truckers like me to haul in all of the building materials and other goods that help make live comfortable here in America- and there is no state income tax in Nevada.

So, I'd like to negotiate with the state Ohio to see what they will offer me to keep me here working, paying taxes, and spending money. This little condo I'm living in is getting kind of cramped and the property taxes are getting kind of steep in this county. I could use a brand new facili...home built in the next county over where the property taxes are a little more reasonable. I'll tell you what, if Ohio provides the acreage I'll put up the building. And since I'm developing the land and putting a lot of people to work by building there I think I should get tax breaks for helping out the state of Ohio. And while we're at it.....

1. NV in pretty bad shape right now
They got the boom-and-bust of the real estate bubble almost as bad as anybody, only CA and maybe AZ or FL got it worse.

4. Your best shot might be with
townships and counties. Pit one against another. Homedepot just got a 60% 10 tax break in my township on taxes. Propose your building in different townships and then make it all public to put pressure on the politicians to bring home the jobs at any cost. Then try Michigan.

6. It could be anywhere, just some place other than Ohio
This is a satire. On the front page of the Dayton Daily News today was the story of a long time, local business talking about moving their facility to Indiana if they didn't get a good deal from Ohio to stay put. It's probably a story that people all across the country are familiar with now days. I just wanted to see how silly it would sound if I were to try the same thing. It sounds pretty silly, but in principle it's the same thing.
