3. "Most Turkeys are brown!"...
The great majority of domesticated turkeys are bred to have white feathers because their pin feathers are less visible when the carcass is dressed, although brown or bronze-feathered varieties are also raised. The fleshy protuberance atop the beak is the snood and the one attached to the underside of the beak is known as a wattle.

5. From what I understand,
Big Breasted Bronze and Big Breasted White turkeys are popular with small time turkey ranchers, while B.B. White turkeys are pretty much the only turkeys that factory farms raise.

I raised a Big Breasted Bronze turkey as a pet, and she was (obviously)brown. I also had a Big Breasted White turkey, who was sort of disabled, and mentally dull. I chose her as a chick, because the others picked on her and I felt sorry for her. Then I got her the B.B. Bronze chick as a buddy. The brown one was actually very smart and quick, especially when it came to eating, and was very friendly.

The Big Breasted White grew up to be almost completely disabled, with legs that couldn't support her huge body, and she was eaten by predators at about 8 months. The BB Bronze lived to about 2 years before being eaten by predators, which was really sad for me. But, they lived like royalty.

If you want a pet turkey, it's advised to NOT get a Big Breasted variety, because their little legs have trouble supporting their freakishly huge bodies.
