Local union donates to Whatcom County food banks

This goes on across the country. But these stories don't get much press. I wonder why???

DAVE GALLAGHER - THE BELLINGHAM HERALD

Carpenters from Local Union 756 have been busy collecting non-perishable food items during the last two months.

Through the donations of its membership and the community, the organization has collected more than 1,000 pounds of food. This was distributed to the food banks in Bellingham, Ferndale, Blaine and Lynden just in time for the holiday season.

1. ah, that's so cool. was just up there for the holiday
good to know. didn't see any story on the news here, either, it's all about shopping shopping shopping.
