3. The statistics could be correct, but the use of a pie chart is wrong.
If each respondent could check multiple answers the total would be greater then 100%, and, in fact, if EVERYBODY selected two choices the total percentage would be 200%. But a pie chart is, conceptually, supposed to represent 100%, so in spite of legitimate numbers, their visualization of it is wrong.

19. I thought the same thing... but here's the video.
I thought, surely Faux News isn't this stupid, but I was wrong. This came from Fox News Chicago, and even though it was a local Faux Fuckup, it's still Fox News! I suspected it was a PhotoShop job, but here it is when it aired: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rbyhj8uTT8

16. Visually it's accurate. One-third backs...
one stupid ridiculous bigoted candidate. One-third backs another stupid ridiculous bigoted candidate. And 1/3 backs yet another stupid ridiculous bigoted candidate. Together it adds up to 100% stupid ridiculous bigots.

23. I used this to give my math 'challenged' kids a test
each was shown the chart when the others were not around

my oldest who is 20 but has failed math more times than i can recall 'said' hell even I can see a group can not be more than 100%'

my 17 year old said 'typical fox stupidity'

my 15 year old first said 'people actually back huckabee and palin?' than saw the math error

my 8 year old took about a second and said 'that is stupid they add to more than 100%' (in all honesty he is the only one who likes math

conclusion: Fox is dumber than I thought (and I already thought they were dumb)
