How pathetic - the party crashers - these people are
The couple has been in close proximity to Obama in the past, photos show, raising fresh questions about how they have managed to get so near to the president.

One photo, apparently taken in the days before Obama took the oath of office, shows the Salahis in a group shot with Obama and some of the musicians who performed at an inaugural concert at the Lincoln Memorial, including Fergie and will.i.am.

"Lots of my dear friends here including, President OBAMA with MICHAELE, my husband Tareq, The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, Will.i.am & Randy Jackson, formerly with JOURNEY the Rock Band who I LOVE!, and now Judge on American Idol," the caption says.

Other photos show the Salahis in the empty, glass-enclosed box from which the Obamas watched the concert and, according to the caption, "backstage with the Secret Service at the Lincoln Memorial during the Presidential Inauguration."

Facebook photos show the couple posing with an array of celebrities and politicians, including former President Bill Clinton, Arizona Sen. John McCain, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, entertainer Donny Osmond, weatherman Willard Scott and music producer Quincy Jones, among others.

They, and the parents of the "balloon boy" and all the ones who shove their mugs wherever there is a camera around.

And the way she sashayed at that dinner party...

One thing, though. They are from Virginia, so how can she be in the "Real Housewives of D.C.?"

Do people really need the affirmation by others, do they really need to constantly be "connected" to have meaning in their lives?

1. I'm hoping they spend some time behind bars. Prison is kind of a party, isn't it?
A very uncomfortable, horrible little party. They deserve it.

3. Doesn't this amount to celebrity stalking, going to events and getting your
picture taken with the famous and near famous? Who's the nut and who is the enabler in this marriage?

13. who's the nut in this thread? seriously, people do meet and greets to let fans be in photos w. them
i assure you it happens all the time

i've been to meet and greets w. celebs and had my pix taken w. them too, at parties that i may not attended under my "real" name, so what, i'm not marrying the star, i'm just attending an event/party and shaking a hand and the star forgets me as soon as he's shaking the next hand in line, what's the big deal????

it's just a fun harmless hobby that hurts NO ONE

celeb stalkers don't just shake hands and show up at parties, they're breaking into the celeb's house or hotel room, they're stealing stuff to sell on ebay, and lots of other nasty scams, but there is not a thing wrong w. attending meet and greets and parties and getting your photo made with the star...in fact many a star would be quite sad if no one showed up!

8. Let this disc joke have someone crashing his party
and then we'll see how funny it will be for him... having uninvited people at his home, mulling around, perhaps even get their pics on his computer.

15. no, they could NOT have had pockets full of anthrax
if anthrax was that easy to come by, what socialite would resort to gossip and backstabbing to get back at her enemies when she could get rid of her evil mother-in-law or her husband's younger girlfriend w. a pocket full of white powder

where the fuck do you think a couple of reality teevee stars would get a pocketful of anthrax?

oh, that's right

NOWHERES

why don't people think before they parrot alarmist nutball crap from scare radio?

11. It's pop culture gone stupid dangerous. Seeing those smiley goof balls...
Edited on Fri Nov-27-09 05:36 PM by bridgit
floating cross the room was a disgusting spectacle. Especially when it is understood their fraudulent, lying-ass disregard for protocol, world leaders, even the personal safety of the POTUS in favor of their sick & twisted pursuit of aggrandizement, but you know what? They aren't even the *real* shit-heads...

The real shit-heads were back at the studio or maybe in a high dollar loft overlooking Cent Park popping corks when their marionettes walked into the frame. If this is what the-freedom-to-do-whatever-the-fuck-I-want has wrought, then there should to be a way to hold freedom accountable

The other shoe poised to drop is that these brand new idiots were "checked over" by WH and event security so wait right there...

How do you get "checked over" by such security, traipse on past the list you (and others I submit) *know* you are not on, smile and wave to the cameras as a State Dinner crasher?

I've seen pics of Coulter in such high dollar lofts at RW parties flanked by young republicans in day old makeup and as though that isn't spooky enough there exists a reason to conclude that this stunt could have been/may well be just another faux-ACORN-type sting operation put on by the RW thought to prove how slack & inept Obama's WH and security apparatus is in the form of yet another fraudulent incursion

Severally inform these ego driven media monsters that the security of the US is not to be taken lightly. But then find out who these frauds are, who they know why they know them and who cuts the checks these days for fraudulent, criminal mischief able to increase felonious conduct

16. you hate them for being happy and smiling and "goofy" at a party?
bridgit, i honestly expect better and more thoughtful from you

any of us would be happy and smiling and "goofy" to be at a party w. so many successful achieving people that we admire

the point is they WERE checked over, and they were obv. harmless fun people, they didn't have weapons, they were a danger to no one

"hold freedom accountable?" what does that even mean?

we had a sinister closed president under dubya, the white house -- OUR house -- was famously closed even to tours for quite some while and he was so hated that he had to maintain an exceptional distance from his public

with obama we have a beloved president and a new excitement about the white house, and yes, some folks are going to be giddy and star struck and maybe they're a little shallow but you know what?

it's harmless, it's fun, it's the holidays

i'm honestly shocked that there's so much anger about this

12. they're star struck...i remember when we all loved obama and would be thrilled to crash his party
i can't stand this baying for blood for people whose so-called "crime" is going to parties

the truly sick, disturbed people to my mind, are the people who would put human beings, in a cage, for trying to have a good time and have their photo taken with people they admire

oh ho she is from virginia not a true D.C. ghetto so she must be drawn and quartered by the mob as a phony!!!!

jesus, and you think they're pathetic? i'm sorry, at least she got off her fucking couch

the pathetic ones are the jealous haters who are bitter because they didn't think of it or, having thought of it, didn't actually have the gonads to follow thru

if i was obama (pending secret service approval, of course) i would make a point to invite them to another function, just for fun

everything doesn't have to be all grim and heavy duty, sometimes it's just a nice gesture to go ahead and pardon the damn thanksgiving turkey, know what i mean?

why are people so full of hate over this? so many threads! so much hate...and yet last year at this time everyone was talking abt heading out to d.c. hoping for a chance to see obama

is the magic gone so soon? are people's souls so shriveled that they have to be jealous of someone who crashed a party?

21. Tinfoil hat time
I can see the following note on the President's desk.

Gee, Mister Obama, you know, if a bunch of reality stars can crash your party, you never know who else can..please ponder that when you ponder things like firing Tim Geitner or pulling troops out,

sincerely

These people will do ANYTHING to get near a celebrity.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had plastic surgery and used fake ID to get in.

This is desperation on a whole new level.
