Our Store

Blackberry Patch began harvesting local fruits and preserving them as jams, jellies, and fruit syrups in 1988 on a farm in Leon County, Florida. The fruit syrups are elegantly topped with waxed finishes, coordinated to the flavor of the respective fruit. Our products are established in the Gift and Gourmet food industry line and are primarily marketed through the International Fancy Food Shows in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago.

In May 1999, Randy Harvey and Harry T. Jones acquired the Blackberry Patch and built a new plant in Thomasville, GA. Mr. Harvey, President, has more than 20 years of experience in management of commercial printing businesses prior to acquiring Blackberry Patch. Mr. Jones, Partner, has more than 20 years in retail supermarkets, produce, and food distribution; and, from 1988 until 1997 as Chairman and CEO of a foodservice distributor serving Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Mr. Harvey and Mr. Jones set Blackberry Patch apart from competitors by using all natural flavors, the freshest local fruits, and original recipes that have been past down through at least three generations. Their ideas proved to be valuable, as business doubled in the first year of ownership.

In the spring of 2000, Mama’s Choice was developed. Mama’s Choice was designed for higher volume specialty food outlets. The packaging features lovely gold foil tops and charming labels. Mama’s Choice Syrups are fruit syrups designed for upscale dessert toppings and breakfast syrups. The Mama’s Choice line of fruit syrups is currently sold in regional upscale food stores and specialty supermarkets.

Our gift line is sold in leading department stores, specialty food stores, resorts, and mail order catalogs. Blackberry Patch’s fine products are also available by the truckload.
