Landrieu hit from both sides on healthcare
Staking out middle ground on the public option, Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu is taking heat from both sides in tv ads. The ads are aimed at persuading the people of her mostly conservative state to let Landrieu know how to vote on the controversial public option plan from her Democratic party.

"Tell senator landrieu to vote no on government run healthcare," one ad says.

Another ends, "Tell Senator Landrieu, support the people of Louisiana, not insurance companies."

One ad that's against the anti-public option plays on fiscal fears, saying the plan will be "paid for with $600 billion in new taxes, $400 billion in cuts to Medicare."

3. "There's nothing in the middle of the road but a yellow line and dead armadillos"
As Jim Hightower says. Maybe she likes being a dead armadillo.

7. She's working against all of us.
She should be getting flak from all sides that aren't enormous corporations.
