Judge Judy says Palin is 'articulate'
I was watching the Joy Behar Show, and Judge Judy was her guest. They talked about a variety of subjects. First Joy mentioned the hate expressed against the President. Judge Judy indicated that she didn't think any of it was racist. She also compared the hate on the right to hate on the left?????

Then Sarah Palin's name came up. Judge Judy first said she was articulate. She then went on to praise her in various ways. She talked about what a good speaker she was. She also mentioned what a good job Palin had done in her previous roles. I can't remember the exact words.

I was astounded. Judge Judy isn't one to be fooled by many people. How she cannot listen to Palin and realize that she isn't saying anything is beyond me. I believe Judge Judy is one of those people who has just glanced at the image and never gotten beyond that. Even at that though, I was surprised.

Joy was very surprised also. She tried to present Palin in a different light. I thought Judge Judy was someone who wouldn't necessarily buy the MSMs line. I guess I was way wrong.

1. I've lost any respect for JJ that I might have had, even before these
comments.
She's a hateful old hag, and is a legend in her own mind.

3. I utterly despise every single TV "judge"..
And "Judge Judy" is clearly blinded by ideology, I'd be willing to wager a considerable sum that she's a wingnut right up there with "Dr" Laura, someone else who claims to be able to read the human condition at a glance.

4. Maybe.
I remember when the primaries were being held, and somebody asked her then about Obama. Judge Judy thought he was an interesting candidate. She didn't dismiss him out of hand with some RW screed.

Maybe she is a wingnut. However, she has hidden it a lot better than others if she is. She has never been one to hold back on an opinion. I can't believe that she wouldn't have been making nutty noises before now.

5. I Saw Her On Larry King And She Said She Supported Gay Marriage
She struck me as being liberal despite her "tough" demeanor on her tv show.

I'm sure she was just trying to be gracious.

16. Not necessarily surprising; remember, Dick Cheney supports gay marriage, too.
Which is a position consistent with someone who is more purely ideologically conservative. So the fact that she may support gay marriage doesn't tell me she is liberal.

14. Judge Reinhold
He's got the right name. Plus, he's way more ready for SCOTUS than John Rock-n-Rolla Roberts and Sam I Spam Alito and leagues beyond Fat Tony Scalia, Silent Unka Thomas and Anthony "Steal This Election" Kennedy in terms of morality.

9. I'm astounded that anyone with half a brain...
...would be surprised to just now discover that Judge Judy is a self-serving hack, who is to the judicial system what the WWF is to athletics. My parents watch her religiously and I cannot figure out the attraction, save possibly some people out there get off on seeing mentally challenged individuals finally "get theirs", even though the cases are about as real as those famous "Bigfoot" photos. Hearing this is all the more reason to despise this crude person.

her driving force. At least she was honest but still left me :eyes:

For some reason I kept "hearing things" between the lines that she wanted to keep her audiences happy and watching her show.

....don't mind me, I hear little voices telling me things rather frequently.

12. Oh, please, Judge Judy! Baloney!
I mean, if something doesn't make sense, it's not true! Beauty fades, dumb is forever! Don't let Sarah Palin pee on my leg and tell me it's raining! Get over it! You have just been embarrassed in front of ten million people! Liar, liar, pants on fire!

15. Judge Judy is a filthy rich Republican, don't ever forget that.
I was watching her show (in passing) earlier this week, and I had to turn it off, because she was parroting all these reich wing talking points, it was making me furious! I can't stand her, and further, she is an entertainer now, not a judge, so keep that in mind.

20. I've watched her television SHOW. She does things that wouldn't be allowed in real courts.
Again, it's a show. Stirring up the emotions...

What I saw was from a couple years ago and haven't bothered with her since.

21. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how deluded
I have to say that I'm not a big fan of judges, period. As an attorney for 26 years in California, it's been my experience that many judges are pompous assholes who have a proprietary attitude towards the place where they work, thinking it is "their" courtroom, their little fiefdom and not the people's courtroom. I've wondered about what kinds of people want to become judges; perhaps people who like wield power over others. I've known judges who were drunk on their ass every morning and I've watched them sneak into their cars during breaks to take a drink. I've known judges who have been so riddled with phobias and obsessive-compulsive disorder that they were barely able to function. I knew a judge who would tell anyone who would listen that he would always find against a defendant and in favor of an insurance company every time he could (an idiotic worker's comp judge). I knew a judge who told me that if I appealed their ruling, they would get together with their brotherhood of judges and see to it that I could never get anything done in that courthouse again. I could go on and on. The main point is that while there have been many admirable judges, most are nothing special. However, they seem to think that they have something very important to say. Judge Judy, a former family court judge has kind of an imperialistic attitude on her show, but she's really nothing special and her opinion isn't the opinion of an especially brilliant person. At this point, she's mainly an entertainer.

22. Last year, before the election, she was on Larry King.
They were discussing the two candidates & parties & she said something to the effect of 'Those of us with money have seen what a disaster the country is in & we're not voting with our pocketbooks this time.' Fuck you, Judge Judy. Maybe if you had voted with the country's best interest at heart, instead of your fucking wallet, we wouldn't be in this fucked up mess.
