Wow, almost 10 years into the new millennium.
That was quick. Seems like we were just being warned about Y2K.

The next 35 or so days will be spent reviewing not only the past year, but the decade as well.

The pace of life on earth seems to have accelerated beyond my ability to keep up, and I'm at a loss for so much of what has happened.

What have these past 10 years meant to you? Or revealed to you?

Whether from a personal place or from a national or global perspective.

Thanks.

1. I think the past 10 years have been sort of a wash for this country. They won't be missed.
From a personal perspective, I'm in a much better place. Happier, way healthier. I wouldn't trade 40 for 30, under any circumstances.

5. I do too
I think all the assasinations of the 1960s's makes that decade pretty damned bad. :-(

6. We went from the Age of Information to the Age of the Neobarbarian in a flash
the Age of Information never had a chance.

Oh, there's still plenty of technology floating around, but the mentality is not really to share.

7. Ten more years of proof that America just loves to make war.
It's what we do. Now that we don't manufacture products, it's the only thing we do.

11. They were the end of my childhood, my college years, and the beginning of young adulthood
I feel kinda cheated regarding politics, economics, and free love :P. On the other hand, it's been great growing up with the internet, which my generation was the first to do.
