In an explosive new article in The Nation magazine, investigative journalist and Democracy Now! correspondent Jeremy Scahill reveals the private military firm Blackwater is part of a covert program in Pakistan that includes planning the assassination and kidnapping of Taliban and Al-Qaeda suspects. Blackwater is also said to be involved in a previously undisclosed U.S. military drone campaign that has killed scores of people inside Pakistan. The article says the program has become so secretive that top Obama administration and military officials have likely been unaware of its existence. In a Democracy Now! exclusive, Scahill joins us for his first interview since the story broke.

I do find it hard to belive that Obama doesn't know this..but it's worth watching...because..WHAT IF...Obama DOESN'T KNOW?

I don't know the truth of anything we are being SPUN so HEAVILY these days...much like Bush Days but sometimes it seems WORSE.

14. There are folks here in NC Protesting them Day After Day...working to get rid of them

and we have a Dem Governor...had one for 8 years before...and before that.

But, it brings JOBS to NC...

How do you fight against that? You just keep after it. What else can one do? AND...there have been huge ongoing protests here against the "Military Flights that are involved in the Prisoner Interrogations ....the TORTURE PLANES that have been target of the "Plane Spotters" all over the World.

But, our Media in NC puts a blurb on Page 6 mixed in with ads for our local Department stores. And who the hell reads newspapers anymore?

Without a free and fair and accessible MEDIA FOR ALL...how do we stand a chance against the Military/Corporate/Media/Industrial/Wall Street COMPLEX?

We just keep on keeping on...and Kudo's for those who are so committed that they are out there every day when many of us are hanging onto jobs we might not have much longer and can't always take the time off...or are afraid the Prison Sentence would put our families in poverty.

if that is the case, we would not necessarily know about them. They could be working for ISI, or for that matter some corporate interest. Mercenaries work for money, not to protect anyone in particular.
