1. Compared to the GOP...President Obama is doing a stellar job..with no help mopping
up Bushies crap left over....

Despite the lack of assistance and the 24/7 GOP sniping and whining....Obama has managed to stave off a depression....

2. I hate to say it but I went with poor
I will grant that he has been in office less then a year but so far I'm disappointed.

3. Obama is a pragmatist.
He makes deliberate decisions after gathering and analyzing as much information as possible. He inherited a clusterfuck from * and expected to "fix it" within ten months of taking office. Not to mention how things are done in D.C. which means cutting deals with people you don't necessarily respect but you can't do it w/o them. Obama is not the kind of guy who bulldozes his policies through by imposing his will on others, threatening to destroy anyone who gets in his way, etc.

4. He knew he was getting a '72 Datsun up on blocks with no brakes or exhaust system.
You can't expect him to turn it into a Lincoln limo in ten months!

5. Can he turn the economy around overnight
Of course not. But I expected better things from him when it came to sending our troops to be killed over in Afghanistan and Iraq. After about a year, Nixon "owned" Vietnam. By sending more people to prop up the puppet Karzai regime, this really has become Obama's war.

she's just as dirty as the rest of them.

18. I expected Obama to send more troops to Afghanistan based
on what he said in the campaign. I glad he is announcing a troop increase and an exit strategy. There are reasons I supported Obama and not Kucinich and I'm not disapointed in Obama's performance.

14. As I didn't give a "Fubar" option. I didn't give an "excellent" one.
This is just my opinion, but President Obama's performance so far is neither excellent or Fubar so I left them out.

10. Went with "fair"
Even now, my biggest objection is the economic team. We are talking "foxes guarding the henhouse" bad.

13. I see no difference between GW and Obama
maybe its because he has some of the same advisers,or just his own poor judgement but he is no better than Bush..so much for the change we can believe in.
Or just maybe he is that typical Chicago politician that is one great campaigner but he is way out of his league

17. As much as I express my disappointment, he is much better than W.
He just isn't the miraculous "change" that many seem to think he is.

21. Nope. No differences whatsoever. None. Exactly the same. Indistinguishable.
You really nailed it. Very astute. You're obviously a very keen observer of politics. Very impressive analysis.

23. We voted for a change.
He is like GW when it comes to serving corporate interests..
With no oversight for banks or Wall St.
Appointing more of the same as Bush would..Geithner..so that is my comparison and few could argue..
Now we hear that he will approve all provisions of the Patriot Act.
He addressed this issue during the campaign..At that time he thought portions of the Patriot Act violated human rights,
I voted for change, not a Bush 3rd term.
And by the way I have observed politics since JFK.

knowing that he has to fight the pukes every step of the way for every little damn thing. fighting the democratic side doesn't help matters much either.
