The World According To Monsanto
2008109 mins Color

Marie-Monique Robin, Director

French journalist and filmmaker Marie-Monique Robin examines the dark and troubling influence of American chemical and biotech giant Monsanto. Her incendiary film documents a corporate legacy of greed, death, poverty and illness --from the creation (and subsequent cover-up) of Agent Orange and the spread of PCBs to Bovine Growth Hormone and patents on genetically modified seeds. In parallel with her charges, Robin also charts Monsanto's political influence and its unsettling relationship with the Food and Drug Administration.

3. I saw this on an HBO special a few years back
You will walk away sick and pissed and fuming. You can relate this doc to almost every aspect of what goes in any murderous corporation and how they take over and do what they want and get away with it.

4. I hate...
Monsanto...I just watched a documentary on the IFC called "The World According to Monsanto." It does not tell me anything that I did not know, but it drove it home. Monsanto is an evil company, but just adds to my complete disgust with my world. What I know is that I am a commodity. Bought and sold with no thought, I'm only as good as my last payment. I am low on the totem pole and easily expendable. It is not enough that I can't find a job that will pay me a living wage, but that the food I eat must be fake and make others lives a living hell. Whenever I think that it is as bad as it could be, I have it told to me that it can get worse. My planet is a Biosphere. I can't escape and I wish that I was ignorant. What you do not know can't hurt you, isn't that the saying? At least ignorance would allow me some peace. I tries to post this, in general, but was unable to.
