Sen Webb & Sen Warner are both still "reading" the bill and deciding
according to their staff today. Asked where they stand on the public option I was told Webb is "studying the issue" while Warner staff said it was not a priority for him, he was all about reducing costs.

Seriously? Reduce costs WITHOUT a robust public option hanging over the insurance companies heads? Really? How the hell is THaT gonna work? Even the CBO said a public option had the best chance of reducing costs.

I told both of them that a robust public option was the only way to reduce costs, and for me it is a deal breaker. Vote against public option, or for a bill without it, and we will work as hard to throw you out of office as we did to get you elected. Period.

2. Warner is an empty suit. I will be disappointed if Jim Webb does not come down for a public option.

4. Warner is a DINO only a whisker above LIEberman...
He is all for BUSINESS and against workers. Like Reagan he seems to believe Govt is the problem, not the solution.

5. I don't understand. There isn't a bill with a strong public option

The only hope for that is if the Sanders amendment passes.

7. EMAIL THEM- the local Richmond media was covered with the story yesterday
about how many calls against healthcare that they are getting. None of the article gave specifics (gee wonder why) but everyone here needs to email them at least- whether you are in Va or not.

This, also, is of course just them pulling money out of the interested parties

8. "Reduce costs WITHOUT a robust public option hanging over the insurance companies heads"
The current public option will not hang over any heads or reduce costs. This bill is about expanding coverage and subsidizing the cost on an individual level. It is not about cost-control. Chances are, costs will increase under this sytem and businesses will feel it (as well as individuals)
