NORTH LAS VEGAS -- One of the five suspects arrested in connection with the killing of a Metro police officer was shot by the officer in the testicles, according to a police report.

On Thursday, Metro officer Trevor Nettleton was shot to death during what police believe was a botched robbery attempt. He was found in his North Las Vegas home in the garage. Police said the officer was able to return fire before he was killed.

The NLV police report said suspect Prentice Marshall, 18, was taken to UMC shortly after the shooting for treatment. The report said he was treated for a gunshot wound to the testicles.

Marshall later admitted playing a part in the robbery and killing, police said. He was charged with murder in the first-degree with a deadly weapon, robbery with use of a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. The charges against him were also gang-enhancement, the report said.

the dr offered to give him a prosthetic and he said no thanks.
