Uterus = pre-existing condition.
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 11:58 AM by elehhhhna
We have the oldest bunch of doddering idiots in Congress in the history of the nation.

The "health care bill" (rightfully called a mandatory insurance bill), seems to discriminate against women because we're, well, women. No "right" to gyne care, abortion, and nothing in there about birth control counseling or services, either.

We are the MAJORITY. We are also now the majority of employed Americans. Let's act like it.

2. What gets me
are the women who support discrimination against women. What is that all about?

Yes, we are over 50 percent of the populace. But we continue to undermined by other women.

7. This mostly comes from the
Religious Fundies...they don't have anyone else to pick on, so they pick on other women who don't go along with being 2nd Class citizens.

By believing in the Bible, they feel they are somehow empowered to degrade us. Sick. And very sad.

Sometimes I think these women are too afraid to pick on their oppressors so their anger is somehow diverted at other women.

Rich white boyz using the 'Divide and Conquer' tactic to meet their needs.

4. Our problem is while we are the majority
There is a bunch of women in america that believe in submitting to their husbands and are pro life.

What I mean is will do whatever the men say. We have to deal with them.

All I know is I don't feel like any majority of either dems or women.

11. I especially like the Reich-wing women who preach submission
while being governor/running for VP, while working in the House or Senate, and who have both religious and secular tv shows they headline. They're too stupid to see that their vision for a traditional America tosses them out of the public and back to being barefoot and preggers with dinner on the table for the hubby (who can come home and beat and rape her anytime he pleases!). These women need to be tied down and forcibly made to listen to a reading of The Handmaid's Tale.

6. So how do you propose we "act like it?" It is disgusting, but to just rant about it doesn't help.
Any legitimate, workable ideas you may have?

Maybe Mother Nature is going to take care of this herself....LOL!

"I'm not really concerned about swine flu. Here's my concern.

• 3 years ago, Chinese calendar year of the cow . . . Mad Cow disease.

• 2 years ago, Chinese calendar year of the bird . . . Avian flu.

• This year, Chinese calendar year of the pig . . . Swine flu.

Next year is the year of the cock . . . Anybody else worried?"

12. Witthold campaign donations. Send a fax. Send a letter. Send an e-mail.
Tell the members of Congress that you are a female, you will actively work against any Rep or Senator that advocates removing women's health care from this bill.

Maybe I'm living in a dream world, but if women did any of the above, once a day until the recess in December, it would be hard to ignore.

Barack Obama might also want to think about the fact there are more women than men in this country, including four currently living in the same house he does...

17. Then what do you suggest we do?
Seriously. I just love it when people here can't come up with another suggestion, but piss all over anyone else's ideas.

Frankly, I can't imagine why Michelle Obama isn't going after her husband right now. She has to know the effects of stripping women's health coverage out of the legislation. Why is she silent?

Again. If we got one million women to call, write, fax, call their representatives, etcetera, once a day till the recess, they'd overload the already overloaded system. I'd rather light a candle than curse the darkness.

maybe then women will be considered equal. If the Y chromosome hasn't wrecked the world in the meantime.
