Write Like-Sarah Palin-Contest
Write Like Sarah Palin-A Slate contest.
Posted Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at 6:45 PM ET

What is the single worst sentence in Sarah Palin's Going Rogue? According to Slate's Going Rogue index, it comes on Page 102: "As the soles of my shoes hit the soft ground, I pushed past the tall cottonwood trees in a euphoric cadence, and meandered through willow branches that the moose munched on." Michiko Kakutani of the New York Times didn't have to read past the first paragraph for her nomination: "I breathed in an autumn bouquet that combined everything small-town America with rugged splashes of the Last Frontier."

2. This isn't mine
but instead sprang from the fertile imagination of a woman who contributes regularly in the online commentary section of our local Gannett fishwrap:

my point is the government is getting to big for its britches it's supposed to work for us not tell us what we are going to do they are gradually taking away our rights and everybody stays quiet our right to religion is going quick when they tell us we can't use anything about christ or jesus on the christmas tree ornaments that get sent by artist every year it's not a christmas tree it's a holiday tree mark my words it's only going to get worse

It's more about style than substance, but it reminded me of You-Know-Who the moment I read it. Sad thing is, the author of this incoherent screed claims to be a Democrat.

3. And presumably she had to hire someone to write those sentences.
She should demand a refund from her ghostwriter.

4. I think if she had written this book she would write like this-------
It is autumn. The leaves are turning. You betcha. Soon we will be cold. You betcha. Snowflakes will fall. You know like they are wet. etc etc etc These statements sounds more like what she can do.

And the republicans are eating this crap up. I "betcha" if you ask any of the tea bags peeing in their pants over her, if they knew she didn't write the book, they would go ballistic.

8. "I pushed past the faux poetic prose in numbed despair, and staggered
through faux political philosophizing that the moose candidate-wannabe regurgitated."

Oh, wait, that's from the first of many memoirs from reviewers: I Survived Going Rogue.
