Fundamentalist politics - whether Christianist or Islamist - often assumes the same basic structure. What must be resisted is logic, argument or follow-up questions.

It's the dead certainty that "my" god is the right god and that "I" and those like me know what that god wants and says is the right thing to do -- even if that "message" contradicts what the "religion's" holy book or holy figure says. It's those damn voices!
