Oh My...
I just have tears running down my face.
On Friday the 13th, I got bad news all around, first my neurologist called and told me I have to go back into the hospital for more tests. Then as I clocked out at work, I was told I lost my job, by a fugging tea bagger of all people, whom I trained, and my husband gave the idiot his position. I was set up, and because I trust people and always let my work speak for me...needless to say I was quite embarrassed. I was the only female in this company. Now we are going to lose our house, which may not be such a bad thing, we get to leave this god for-saken state, (Idaho) I am trying to think about the good, you see?

So for the last week, I have felt very small and vulnerable, very scared and wanting to get back at the fugging idiot. Then reminding myself that no matter what, I have to hold myself to a higher place of being, I have to remember that I am a human being, I am not a lower life form that my ex-co-worker is.

Today, I started to come out of my stupor, and started packing up my house stuff, I logged on to DU, my daily ritual, and read about DU's achievement with the donor drive, I am very happy about it, and told Skinner that.

Now I logged back on, and it said I have mail...some beautiful human being gave me a star, can you believe that? Just when I lose faith, and feel so small, I get a gift.

Thank you, anonymous, thank you! I am going to go cry the ugly cry and count my blessings.

Ho

Sage

I love this place!

3. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))))
Edited on Mon Nov-23-09 11:24 PM by Lisa0825
I am so sorry about your job. I have had a rocky year on the employment front, but finally landed back where I wanted to be, just a couple weeks ago. I sincerely hope that you will find just the right opportunity coming your way very soon.

edited to add: You know, I didn't want to sound like I skipped over the rest... it's just that having a job has consumed my thoughts for over a year now, so that is the part that jumped out at me. But as far as the rest goes, I may not be able to relate directly, but I have also had times when it seemed like everything was coming down around me at once... I think most of us who have lived a certain number of years have seen such times.... and we can relate and we care... and we are here anytime you ever need the collective DU hug.

5. The planet Uranus is retrograde
Upheavals are abounding right now. Energy is expanding (wonky and confusing). Something very, very good will come from this--better than you could dream right now. Hang in there.

13. I like to pay things forward,
I can't count the number of times in life that I needed a place to land and to spend time to get my head and self together. From personal experience,Homelessness SUX and it is a hole that will bury even some of the most strong willed.

I have the ability to offer the same to others as I own the shack and property I live on.

Just one of the promises I made to myself many years ago....If I Can keep someone from being homeless, even just for a small time, then I will.

check your pm.
Thank you so much, all of these kind words that everybody has said, I really do feel them. For some reason, I feel rejuvenated, like I can take on the world.

You know that's why I love DU, we are like a family, we bicker and argue but when it comes to one of our own in trouble we support and defend without ever knowing them, because we are really good people, and you are definitely one of the best!

12. I can attest
to the absolute joy and, I guess humbling (humbling? is that a word?) of receiving an anonymous donation made in your name, hence by "I donated etc." banner. Sometimes it seems like life is sending you nothing but flaming bags of dog poop to your door step, but every once in a rare while you get a
a nice little bouquet of flowers. I wish you nothing but good luck and good vibes in this new chapter of your life.

P.S. Hope you didn't mind the flaming dog poop morale boosting story. ;-)

31. ah, yes I do. It is awesome that we can speak to each other and
give hope and comfort to each other and know that we will never know each other face to face. But I feel that I know you and I feel your turmoil and your difficulties. If anything I can feel for you and your family helps good things come your way, consider it done. Take care and know you are loved.

RV, been there, done that.

22. There comes a point
When one has to realize that in this world, the bad get ahead. The worst are first. It's always been that way and probably always will be, at least for the foreseeable future. The good-hearted have unending problems, while the selfish and evil often skate through life.

While I don't know you, I consider it quite possible you are losing your job and your house due primarily to your quality as a human being. It may sound crazy, but thatis often the case. No persecution is spared the decent and no reward spared the cruel.

My best wishes to you, from someone who long ago learned that to value conscience and compassion often means learning to live with less.

26. How very right you are!
People like us, we have evolved thought, we are going to make it through another evolutionary breakthrough, at least I tell myself that! lol!
I would rather have compassion, than have to live with myself for treating another horribly just to have material things!
