We actually already live in a totally socialist system.

But because it is a monopolistic money based and not humanitarian system it is just like communism in the Soviet Union and China: the elites and their toadies get rich while everyone else is enslaved - some more willingly than others (and some clueless that they are even enslaved due to their ignorance and/or stupidity).

We give our wealth to the elites who distribute it to elites and they let us keep the crumbs like serfs. And many of the serfs LOVE the crumbs and love their masters (especially if they eat a little hoigher off the hog than those beneath them on the social/economic ladder.
