He asked "his excelency" the tough questions about abortion and the the church's involvement in law. He asked them to Buchanan, too. He put feet to fire and neither His Excellency nor Buchanan (His Less-Than-Excellency) were willing to back up their rhetoric with actual policy initiatives or new ideas. I've said it before, I'll say it again -- when Tweety is on, he's ON. (But usually he sucks).

5. Yes, he was spot on
time someone takes these bishops to task; stay the hell out of women's health care and mind your own fucking business. I am sick and tired of the catholic church whose wet dream is keeping women pregnant and in the home.

Anyone who listens to men who wear pointy hats and lace skirts should have their heads examined and this is coming from an ex ex catholic.

7. He was like a ravenous dog on a tasty bone tonight
It's about time that somebody asked one of these religious clowns about their outrageous hypocrisy - I'm glad I didn't miss it!

seems to be twins.

When you're right you're right though and must be recognized.

9. He was very good with the bishop, but Corker ate his lunch on health care.
Much head nodding and agreement from Mathews. Many possible challenges left unused.

I thought he did a very poor job in that segment.

But against the bishop? Excellent.

10. His good outweighs the bad most times. He is my fav
on MSNBC for now--not because I agree with all his views but because of his personality/delivery. He IS wishy washy but in general he knows his shit and has a passion for politics. You can tell he doesn't just surf DU or any particular blog for talking points with no real understanding of the issues (which is what I suspect Ed and KO do). Rachel has a passion too but a boring format and her timeslot doesn't work well for me anymore.

15. I thought he did mostly okay, but he failed to call them all on the carpet regarding
the false statement that people don't want this public option.

Also it really bothered me that they were all allowed to hypothesize that Obama's polls are falling due to the deficit. Had they said the economy I might have bought that, but they continually said it was all the money being spent. Even here in this red state, most wish he'd spend more stimulus and do more infrastructure projects asap.

JMHO.
