1. That first turkey looks waaayyy overcooked and the third one is definitely a

2. Only time turkey birds look like your last pict is when they are horney

Or rather, when they are displaying for the hens. I was wondering why my turkeys never looked like that picture when one day a couple finally did! Strut, puff, hold your wings down low spread out, tail fanned, nose penis dropping, neck tissue engorged, saying "tshhhhh" and "lelelelele" at each other. Beautiful and really funny.

Yup, all those turkeys we drew around our hands as kids were turkeys wanting to get it on.

3. Actually the wild turkeys are pretty safe

They're very wily birds. In 15 years of hunting
them, I only harvested 2. By comparison, during
the same time, I harvested the legal limit of deer.

BTW, I hunt today with a Nikon, not a Winchester.
