Bush "Pleased" With Gonzales' Performance (TPMMuckraker)
http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/003068.php

By Paul Kiel - April 19, 2007, 5:48 PM

A press release from the White House:

President Bush was pleased with the Attorney General's testimony today. After hours of testimony in which he answered all of the Senators' questions and provided thousands of pages of documents, he again showed that nothing improper occurred. He admitted the matter could have been handled much better, and he apologized for the disruption to the lives of the U.S. Attorneys involved, as well as for the lack of clarity in his initial responses.

The Attorney General has the full confidence of the President, and he appreciates the work he is doing at the Department of Justice to help keep our citizens safe from terrorists, our children safe from predators, our government safe from corruption, and our streets free from gang violence.

W, take the rest of the pills and go lay down in the yard like the turd you are.

IMO, one would have to be loaded to think Gonzo answered all the questions or did a good job.

16. Of course he's pleased!
Gonzo didn't give up anything or anyone. Which is the *only* criterion for success in Bush World -- unwavering loyalty to Bush and Rove. And while Gonzo took huge hits today, he did not give up any actual information, which is just what Bush wanted.

Our only hope is that the Senators can continue to find discrepancies in various people's testimony. If they give Ms. Goodling immunity, there is some chance -- although you can bet your boots she'll lie every time she can do so if she thinks she can get away with it. I hope she does, and I hope they catch her doing it. She may be a self righteous, rabid religious republican, but she is (a) young and (b) does not have the length of association with Bush that Gonzo has. So if they catch her in enough "misstatements", maybe they can apply enough pressure to break her.

Of course there are still Rove and Miers. They will all have the most amazing memory lapses. And the really amazing thing will be, the memory lapses will overlap. If one of them does not remember the outcome of a meeting, you can bet your boots others will have the same part of their memory erased.

24. Not really, it's just the spectacle of it all.
How low can he possibly go before he gets thrown out on his ass, or will he completely get away with it and take his money and all the Bush Crime Family members to their new spread in Paraguay.

Let's just say that Gonzo looked so bad, you'd think that Bush was personally coaching him via hidden microphone. Was there some sort of transmitter hidden under Gonzo's jacket?
