"I went to highschool with a creature like that. We beat the hell out of him, but it was only years later that AIDS did to him what I could not."

1. To be human is to be fallible. Freepers are all to human.
They fail on an epic level.

6. From here they blow!
They should just STFU and leave everyone else alone. Most of them can't read any way, and of the 10% who can read, only about 1% can write. That means that all the freep stuff is written by about 3 people total.

4. No. They are very human. They just let themselves be ruled by fear.
As some human beings are wont to do. Don't think I'm complimenting them. Jails are full of human beings too.

noticed the "person" who posted that has a byline, "in memory of my dear friend, Henry Lee II"....gee, would that be Henry Lee Lucas?

geez, the hatred of anything they don't understand, just the total willingness to be inhumane. I guess you don't have to understand and accept everything, but......

9. One of my college professors wrote a book about monsters
How we like to look at human beings who do monstrous things as monster, for then we put them at a remove from ourselves. freepers aren't monsters, but they shouldn't be allowed to set the agenda and the tone of our society, Unfortunately for us on the left, the big mass of people in the middle don't care or are too cowardly to stand up to freepers - and thus they have been given far too much power. As Edmund Burke said, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

10. Their essential weakness makes their happiness dependent on others' misery.
We can't afford to keep humoring them.

knows a lot of very kind, intelligent people who are Republicans, I would agree with him. I have no way of knowing that I'd still be liberal if I grew up in the same household as a lot of these conservative Republicans and was exposed to nothing but religious fundamentalism and Fox News my whole life.

From one of the posts..."I heard this a while back and it seems obvious..."

Well then, 'nuff said! Can't argue with a reliable source like that! :eyes:

:sarcasm:

Kudos to the mom in the article...the one who wants her son to undergo the transgender surgery he wants now, BEFORE puberty kicks in and makes things more problematic.
I see their point. He feels like he's in the wrong body (one with XY rather than XX coding)...and his hormones are gonna go ahead with what they'be been programmed to do, making things even more difficult down the road.

I don't know how transgender people stand it...that constant feeling of 'wrongess' and not fitting in their skin.
That was not meant as a slam...more as a statement of respect.

edit for clarity (hopefully)
