A Sudanese hip-hop artist and former child soldier is releasing a new single for free as a thank you to those who have supported him in his fundraising efforts for his charity that helps war victims in Africa.
Emmanuel Jal founded Gua Africa which helps those affected by war in Kenya and Sudan, and is releasing his latest single 'We Fall' for free from his MySpace page on December 2 to raise money and awareness for the cause.
Emmanuel started his challenge to fast - eating just one meal a day - on December 2 last year in order to raise $250,000 (£150,600) to build an education centre in south Sudan.
"I am releasing this song as a free download to say thank you to everyone who donated to Gua Africa," he said.
"Everyone who listens and enjoys it can also go to www.gua-africa.org and donate." The song will also feature on his fourth album, which is due out in 2010.
