Man Finds His Long-Lost Dad Is Charles Manson

Huw Borland, Sky News Online

A US man has spoken of his anguish after discovering his long-lost father is apparently the notorious serial killer Charles Manson.

...

Mr Roberts' real mother claimed he was born after Manson raped her in a drug-fuelled orgy in 1967.

The son, who bears a striking resemblance to the killer, told the newspaper: "I didn't want to believe it. I was frightened and angry. It's like finding out that Adolf Hitler is your father.

1. I can see his point.
If Hitler was my father I wouldn't want to keep it to myself.

2. Well if he wants to decrease the resemblance a haircut and shave would be a start.
It's kind of silly to complain about looking like the guy while half the resemblance could disappear with $10 and a trip to SuperCuts.

13. This sounds like prime Movie of the Week fodder.
Do they still make those? Or have they all moved off to cable?

4. Jeez, talk about a Maury Povich moment...
Charlie, you ARE the father!

This guy had better get in therapy or something fast. And cutting his hair and shaving the beard might be the way to go.

5. The only thing that looks like Manson is his beard he grew himself...
Sky News = Fox = gratuitous tabloid bullshit.

Why even waste your time posting this here?

6. Then why does he adopt facial hair and every other facet
of Manson's trademark looks, if he is so offended? From his haircut to his choice of facial hair, seems to me that those are very optional decisions totally under his control. Geebus.... I guess he'll get his 15 minutes of "fame" if that is what he seeks.

15. Yep, crocodile tears when he really wants the attention. Haircut and shave should solve his
problem.

33. Disagree, finding that out, if true, would be traumatic
The guy is surely to be on the nurture side of the nature vs. nurture debate!

I'd need therapy. I'd never be sure if what I wanted to do was right!

20. Next step: a gratuitous swastika symbol etched on his forehead
Followed by more hand wringing and pearl clutching about the curse of a Manson resemblance.

34. That is a standard look in a certain demographic. And they really need to stop it.
It gets worse. If they start going bald, they keep what's left long like that. I don't get it.

17. That makes two of us. His mother wouldn't be the first woman to lie
about paternity. Even if she did know Manson, what are the chances that she was passed around during that orgy?

31. The article I read had letters that Manson had written to this fellow.
I thought a DNA had been done, but I could be very wrong. I can't imagine anyone wanting to claim he is the dad, but stranger things have happened.

23. I don't know...I bet he could get some $$$ for the rights to the story though.
And there's probably some money in being Charles Manson's next of kin? I know it's not the best way to make money but if you've got lemons (or a psychopath murderous father), make lemonade!
