4. People will not really consider global warming a threat to our way of life
until the wolf is at the door, and then it will be too late. Here is SW WI they are predicting that in 50 years our winters will be like southern Iowa and that's pretty good compared to what we normally get. In 100 years our winters here will be like Arkansas, but without the hot summers. That doesn't seem too bad for us here (in this part of WI) except for the fact that coastal areas of the country will be under water. In other words, there are people here who do not look upon global warming as a bad thing. The thing is that most of us who are past middle-aged adults will no longer be alive when it really gets nasty.
