So Glenn Beck is holding "Education Camps". His motivation?
From his website noted in the TPM video:

- I have begun meeting with some of the best minds in the country that believe in limited government, maximum freedom and the values of our Founders. I am developing a 100 year plan. I know that the bipartisan corruption in Washington that has brought us to this brink and it will not be defeated easily. It will require unconventional thinking and a radical plan to restore our nation to the maximum freedoms we were supposed to have been protecting, using only the battlefield of ideas.

- All of the above will culminate in The Plan, a book that will provide specific policies, principles and, most importantly, action steps that each of us can take to play a role in this Refounding.

- On August 28, 2010, I ask you, your family and neighbors to join me at the feet of Abraham Lincoln on the National Mall for the unveiling of The Plan and the birthday of a new national movement to restore our great country.

Its a 9 month book promotion tour!

1. "Education Camps," eh?
Has a nice ring to it. Ideological re-education, anyone?

5. Yeah, we know Mao is on his mind a lot.
Perhaps, while progressing through the "Hooked on Phonics" course, he actually delved into the Little Red Book a bit and got inspired...

7. Fear Bush, laugh at Beck.
Edited on Sun Nov-22-09 11:15 AM by Naturyl
Bush was sincere in his idiocy (edit: except the fake cowboy act). Beck is as phony as the day is long. Sure, he might believe some of the crap he spews, but the delivery and tearful urgency are utter showbiz. And it's working to the tune of $50 million. The guy is a modern day clown.

6. That guy is such a self-aggrandizing fraud. It's sad that so
many people actually buy his bullshit. This sounds like a bigger "9-12" project, with merchandising and a longer timeline so he can fleece more rubes.

9. He hangs around at parties with Steve Forbes!!!
Impressed by money (worse, inherited money) and name dropping... two of the worst traits a person can have.

Gee, Hitler had a 100 year plan, too. Oh, wait, that was a 1,000 year plan.

I know they like things that rhyme and this could be a double whammy.

13. The term "Education Camps" is chilling
After reading those two words, my first thought was Dachau, Bergen Belson, Auschwitz, and so many other death camps.

And wingnuts have the nerve to call us Nazis? These are sick, dangerous people and it's past time that the vast majority of Americans realized it.

18. 100 year plan
1000 Year Reich. Historically, these long range plans tend to be a bit too ambitious.
