"I'm just a patsy"!
Sometimes I feel sorry for Lee Oswald. It's silly really as he's been dead for 46 years. However he was so young when he died (23).

Not a very accomplished spy as the Soviets saw right through him. So he got shipped back to the U.S. where he finally found his stride as the eyes and ears of J. Edgar Hoover's FBI and the CIA. Evidence suggests that Oswald not only was the set up man for phony Communist fronts in New Orleans but ratted out to Hoover the location of various anti Castro CIA led armed militias. Hoover spied on EVERYONE. Even the CIA. ESPECIALLY the CIA!

So in the eyes of the staunchly anti Communist J. Edgar Hoover Lee Oswald did at least one thing well.

He seems to me as a decent public speaker here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ya9BLrmOf2o&feature=related Maybe not very comfortable on radio but a for a mere 23 year old he seems to acquit himself well enough.

Other interesting facts concerning Oswald can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD9wrSM8bwo&feature=related.

About the worst thing I can find about him (if you discount his association with American fascism beginning with his enrollment in the Civil Air Patrol and through his CIA/intelligence connections) seems to be the domestic abuse against his wife Marina. At least it's been alleged he did these things.

Never the less it's hard for me to conjure up a bad feeling about the man based upon his press interviews in 1963.

He left us with these last sad words: "I'm just a patsy"! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEGHgNRcV_U

Then he was gone.

5. I do not doubt Oswald killed JFK...
I'll also never have any sympathy for him. In addition, I don't accuse people of being repukes because they don't agree with me.

However whenever the subject of the JFK assassination comes up the first people to appear are the conspiracy deniers.

Why?

To me this is almost a litmus test: Do you believe the cover story or have the papers, TV and radio been LYING about the subject for 46 years?

Conservatives generally believe the cover story. Real Dems do not. This has been my experience.

4. Lee Harvey Oswald was used by US Intel
Otherwise, CIA and the FBI would've come clean on him. Both agencies used him before the assassination and made him the patsy afterward.

The great DUer John Simkin has a good brief for those unfamiliar with the subject:

John Whitten and his CIA investigation into Oswald

Here's a bit on the FBI destroying a pre-assassination "note" from Oswald a few minutes after Oswald was, eh, murdered:

85. Right. That must be why FBI Agent James Hosty DESTROYED EVIDENCE -- A NOTE FROM OSWALD.

There is no statute of limitations on murder or treason.

To those who say, "Case closed. Move along." I say: "Go to hell."

7. And to those who sneer at "conspiracy theorists", a slam at "coincidence theorists" is in order.

8. "I'm just a patsy" - Right, cause criminals who've just been arrested are pretty likely
to tell the truth.

How many people who are arrested shout out "I'm guilty" when they walk by the cameras? None. They're all innocent. Sure!
