7. Votes along party lines (C-SPAN)
"All Democrats & Independents - Yes; All Republicans - No"

No surprise on the latter.

9. had a faint hope that Snowe or Collins would vote yes
But they probably were told the Dems had 60 and would not need to vote.

16. Snowe is a Repug and will dance always their tune - just like she did on the Bush tax cuts and Iraq
Edited on Sat Nov-21-09 08:19 PM by jpak
she will face a skeptical Democratic Majority in her district in the next election...if the teagaggers don't primary her first

20. It's unbelievable, only Fox reporting on this
What's with MSNBC and CNN? If it were about Sanford and the Argintine Chilipepper they would have Breaking News?!

Otherwise we would have been completely out in the cold and the R's would be All Over the News gloating.

18. Well, off the subject of health care right now and onto the subject of votes,
not one Republican voted. I guess all that time they spent courting Olympia Snowe was for nothing. Now this proves to me beyond a doubt that Republicans will do absolutely nothing, nada, to help legislation, no matter how many concessions you make for them. Will our Democrats please keep this in mind in the future? Maybe instead of watered down legislation that doesn't help an iota, dare I hope that they might start moving forward with crucial legislation that we really need to save America and our future?
