Every day, 120 people die because they have no health insurance. The House recently passed a health care reform bill that will stop this senseless loss of life. But now it's stalled in the Senate. In fact, since Obama was elected, nearly all Democratic initiatives that help ordinary people have been stalled in the Senate.

When George W. Bush was President, the Senate passed his prescription drug plan, his energy policy, his tax bills, his free trade agreements, his judges, and his budgets requiring just 51 votes. But now that Democrats are in charge, we're told that the only way to get things through the Senate is with 60 people in support.

the republicants and didnt even try to filibuster. So we Democrats share the blame. We didnt insist on filibusters. But I agree it is time for the nuclear option.
