A question
I'm fairly young so I don't remember everything. Has the Supreme Court always been blatantly partisan, or was there actually a time when judges did try to enforce the law and didn't seem to make a call to a political party before deciding how to vote every time (mainly those 4 so far), regardless of what party appointed them?

1. It's swung pretty far both left and right in my memory
I can't really recall any time it was strictly constructionalist.

2. my political science teacher used to always say: "the constitution is what
the supreme court says it is." It is all about interpretation and that is based on ones beliefs.

3. So now our Supreme Court has deemed the life of woman to be worth
less than human.
