2. Absolutely works for me.
Particularly if Big Oil and the defense industry are taxed extra.

5. I agree! Maybe if the oligarchy learns *they* will be the ones financing wars...
...than only benefit them, they'll be less enthusiastic about starting them.

To paraphrase Margaret Thatcher:

Wars for hegemony are great until you run out of other peoples' children

11. No...
She said, "Socialism is great, until you run out of other peoples' money." or perhaps more precisely, "The trouble with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money"

I thought whenever someone says that (to me), I would counter with "Wars for hegemony..."

Might also say, "Wars for Empire..." or "Wars to maintain capitalism..."

Guess it would depend on the circumstances.

6. I like it but
It will never pass. To many members of congress fall in that group, and to many of them also get money from the rich who this tax would hit.

9. There should be a 90% income tax on high income earners during times of war.

13. Let's not forget to tax the churches, too.
It's a freaking HOLY WAR!

They should have plenty of money left over when they stop helping the poor in response to gays getting married and women getting abortions.

17. Freaking perfect
It's the only way to stop the wars. It's never their blood or treasure - indeed they cash in on the blood of the poor.
