Blanche Lincoln Could Face Primary Opponent Due To Health Care Opposition.

As Blanche Lincoln keeps the nation -- and Senate Democratic leadership -- waiting to find out whether she'll vote to allow the health care debate to go forward on the floor, her potential primary opponent is organizing a free health care clinic in Little Rock for the uninsured.

The clinic will open on Saturday, the same day that the wavering Democrat from Arkansas will at last have to make known her opinion on a crucial health care vote.

The National Association for Free Clinics was having difficulty finding a venue for the Arkansas clinic when Lieutenant Governor Bill Halter stepped in.

Halter went on MSNBC's "Countdown" Wednesday night and noted that more than a thousand uninsured Arkansans would be treated this weekend.

"There's a compelling need in Arkansas. We have over 450,000 Arkansans that are not insured," Halter said.

Host Lawrence O'Donnell asked Halter about polling that shows Arkansas voters backing a public option and supporting reform. Halter responded with a thinly-veiled swipe at Lincoln.

"If I was going to summarize where Arkansans are, they really want action. They're growing very impatient with all the talk," he said.

3. Don't be so hard on Blanche

After all, how else could she grab this kind of attention for her largely useless political career? Sure, some people are going to get sick, or get sicker, or die. But what is that in comparison to Blanche Lincoln getting more media coverage? Lighten up, folks! This sort of episode could save her re-election campaign thousands of dollars, and what's more important than that?

4. Blanche Lincoln - the $50 million ABSTINENCE SEX EDUCATION SENATOR!

Yes, that's right folks...Blanche Lincoln, the backwoods Senator from Arkansas has received $50 million for sex education that teaches abstinence is the only way to go.

True, studies show this type of sex ed to be a 100% FAILURE. (Just ask Ms. Palin.) But Blanche wants it anyway, which is a huge waste of $50 million.

How far would that $50 million go in Arkansas to help those without insurance, Blanche?

Really, it's time for the good people in the beautiful state of Arkansas to send this woman's bony butt to the wood chipper. Vote her out! That's the best way to send a message of disapproval!

is because they didn't want to face a primary challenge against another Republican.

It's a great strategy - getting Dems to hold their noses and vote for the person running under the Dem moniker to beat the other Republican.
